Job summary
Exciting opportunity for a Full Time Team Manager position within the Working Age Pathway at the Newcastle and Gateshead Universal Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team, based at St Nicholas Hospital.
This is a Full Time role with flexibility to support candidates with condensed working hours, for example, 4 x 8am-6pm shifts, across Monday to Sunday, alongside service need. Alternatively, working hours would ordinarily be across Monday to Friday normal working hours (9-5pm) should condensed hours not be required.

The Team Manager is responsible and accountable for providing safe, effective care and an efficient service, to patients and their carers who live within the community.
Key aspects of the role include monitoring the performance and quality of the service the team delivers. Alongside clinical leadership and effective day-to-day management of the team, commitment to promoting recovery and maximising independence and fulfilling wider management responsibilities as required by the organisation. We are seeking an individual who has experience and knowledge of supporting individuals in crisis.

Main duties of the job
Provide day-to-day management of the team, hold excellent communication skills and ability to form positive working relationships with Systems Partners
Support with recruitment, retention and induction of staff
Conducting clinical and managerial Supervision, Appraisals and oversight of individuals development
Managing performance and absence/staff wellbeing
Ensure statutory and mandatory training is completed
Support implementation and development of patient and carer experience
Oversight of a support with Informal and Standard Complaints process
Engagement within Interface Meetings
Dealing with grievance and disciplinary cases
Motivate, engage and develop the team within a multi-disciplinary team environment
Lead and coordinate team communication, including holding regular team meetings, communicating and consulting on service changes (which may be contentious), and acting as a conduit of information
Support Team following Serious Incidents and with Debriefs, Local and After Action Review Process and Serious Incident Panels

In addition to being an excellent role model, we are seeking an individual who has experience and knowledge of supporting individuals in crisis.
Patient and carer involvement is a pivotal part of this role, in promoting collaborative partnerships to maximise individuals experience and recovery.
As Team Manager, you should be adept in establishing effective working relationships with colleagues, and wider organisations, supporting engagement with interface meetings, whilst promoting collaborative working relationships.
Provide clinical leadership for all cases, providing competent clinical and caseload supervision and ensuring quality of the supervision structures within the team.
Make complex, sensitive decisions based on professional judgement in relation to service users and their families, being aware of the safe guarding children and adult procedures, adhering to local guidelines and policies. Ensure effective clinical supervision structure is in place for all staff including JDR process. Chair safeguarding meetings this would require the courage to voice concerns about practise and service delivery. Promote, implement and manage clinical standards and good practises within their area of responsibility and across the care pathway ensuring appropriate record keeping is maintained.
