Job summary
A rare opportunity has arisen for a District Nurse/ Community Nursing Sister/ Charge Nurse with some leadership and management experience to lead one our District Nursing Teams in Bournemouth. The role involves providing management and leadership for the District Nursing team and managing a caseload of patients with a variety of clinical needs. The role will involve communication across the locality, both with other DN teams and the wider MDT .

Main duties of the job
You will need a sound understanding of the current primary care agenda, including the management of long term conditions also with excellent communication skills and to be able to demonstrate effective leadership, decision making skills and resilience . You will provide high quality clinical care, management of staff and case management for patients in the community setting.
You must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities, interpersonal skills and time management skills. You should have experience in caseload management and be able to priorities work. The role is diverse, challenging and extremely rewarding.
The role also involves being a member of the senior team, managing and leading the community nursing team under the guidance and support of the District Nurse Locality Lead.
