We are a 22 bed inpatient ward and an adjacent paediatric assessment unit in which we treat children aged from new-born to 18 years old with a broad range of paediatric conditions including surgery, oncology, orthopaedics and ENT.
The unit is supported by a friendly, dedicated and highly skilled medical team and, as a Band 5 nurse, you will also benefit from the support of 14 Band 6 Sisters and an excellent team of Nursery Nurses, Registered Nursing Associates and your fellow Band 5 Nurses.
We also have our assessment unit which is open 24/7 which provides a wide range of acute inpatient referrals as well as outpatient clinics.

They are responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of evidence based individualised patient care within the boundaries of their role. The post holder will contribute to the continuing development of standards of care including developments of nursing standards and monitoring of outcomes.
