Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Clinical Lead Nurse for the Holly Unit within Durham and Darlington CAMHS. We are looking for a motivated clinician to work within a nurse led assessment and intervention service for children and young people. Holly Unit is based at West Park Hospital and is an extension of the CAMHS Community Teams for children and young people to access for a period of assessment and intervention. Holly is commissioned to be open for 5 nights per week which is rotated.
Main duties of the job
This role is part of exciting new developments in the service and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to help influence service development as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
This role within the service is aimed at bringing essential skills and enhancing the community services we offer to our young people and their families, especially those with a learning disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. The role involves working closely in collaboration with parents/carers and families as well as the wider care team around the young person.
The successful candidate will also be expected to work flexibly over a 7 day week.

- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Recognised Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor, clinical educator or equivalent. Must be achieved within 6 months
- Trained in Clinical Supervision and providing clinical supervision OR willingness to work towards within 6 months
Experience

- Minimum of 12 months experience post completion of preceptorship experience working with people with mental ill health, Autism or Learning Disability in a care environment.
