Job summary

To support and deputise for the ED Nurse in Charge / Team Leader with the objective of providing high quality nursing care ensuring effective management of staff and resources. To carry out day to day management and co-ordination of the department. To participate in the support and professional development of all staff.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking experienced adult nurses to join our Emergency Department team as senior staff nurses there is also potential for secondment opportunity too.

You will have extensive experience with emergency care, including triage and resuscitation and be able to provide first-rate care to critically ill patients. We are seeking emerging leaders for our department, who will be willing to take on projects, develop and teach junior staff and drive LINK nurse initiatives.

We see a wide variety of patients, from those with primary care issues in our ED injuries unit, to trauma patients seen in the designated Major Trauma Centre for southwest London. You will need to be comfortable and competent to work in all areas of the department.
