Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to lead our fast paced, administration team.

The post holder will have overarching responsibility for the management of the administration team which is based across Dorset. You will ensure the smooth operation of the service ensuring appropriate cover is provided across teams and locations during operational hours. You will co-ordinate support to clinicians to make the best use of the resources available and play a key role in projects to develop the administration service and streamline processes as well as working closely with the Perinatal Service Lead and Community Team Lead

This is a varied role, you'll be given the autonomy to make decisions and work independently, with the support of the service and team leads, as and when needed.

Main duties of the job

Based in Dorset, the job will include (in addition to the requirements in the person specification):

  • Managing the administration functions, systems and processes of the service.
  • Develop administration systems and functions in conjunction with the manager
  • Direct line management of the Administration Supervisors and an overarching responsibility for the administration team staff
  • Undertake specific and defined pieces of work to support the Service Managers and service projects.
  • Delegated responsibility for the Administration budget

Work will be managed, with clearly defined objectives which the post holder will prioritise and deliver, but priorities may change, and the post holder will need to be adaptable.
