This is an exciting opportunity to work across different parts of the healthcare system and to increase the number of bowel cancers detected at an early stage.
At the Wessex Cancer Alliance we work with primary, secondary and community care to increase the number of people diagnosed with cancer at an early stage. We are looking for an experienced project manager for a fixed term (22 months) to co-design, manage and oversee the evaluation of a project with Cancer Research UK to quickly implement changes that will affect stage shift in bowel cancer.

- Leading a high-profile programme across Wessex, involving strategic thinking, quality improvement, programme management and stakeholder engagement across primary care, public health, secondary care, and local communities.
- Working closely with service partners to develop and implement strategic and operational and plans to deliver the programme outcomes.
- Providing programme management leadership and expertise to support sites as required.
- Design, facilitate and effectively lead programme management meetings with stakeholders, ensuring breadth in participation and a focus on action planning.

- Member of relevant professional body - where appropriate
- Knowledge of project management /improvement skills across a range of disciplines, with a track record of managing successful change
- Holds a relevant project management qualification (e.g. Prince2 Practitioner) or can demonstrate relevant equivalent knowledge
- Presenting and communicating to a variety of different audiences.
- Experience at a senior level in industry or healthcare sector.
- Evidence of leading and implementing change, influencing behaviour, collaborative working with others.
- Evidence of significant structured project management skills and experience.
- Previous experience in quality / service improvement environment
