An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Respiratory Specialist Nurse, to work within the Enhanced Respiratory Service in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale as part of the wider Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking a registered professional with appropriate experience in respiratory care who can demonstrate your commitment, enthusiasm and drive to develop your own clinical, managerial and team working skills..
You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, work autonomously and be able to demonstrate effective teamwork. You will provide high quality care in an appropriate and timely manner which is responsive to patients need whilst adhering to recognised policies and guidelines.
The 7/7 service provides:
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation / long covid rehabilitation
- Early supported discharge
- Admission avoidance
- Community clinics
- Education and Teaching for the wider HMR workforce.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
Part time hours considered, minimum 30 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and an appropriately experienced practitioner in respiratory. You will need to be a registered nurse who can demonstrate your commitment, enthusiasm and drive to develop your own clinical, managerial and team working skills within the service.
You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, work autonomously and be able to demonstrate effective teamwork. You will provide high quality care in an appropriate and timely manner which is responsive to patient needs whilst adhering to recognised policies and guidelines.You will be supported through regular team meetings, 1-1 sessions, ongoing education with access to a professional team of nurses, AHPs and consultants to provide mentorship and support.In short we are looking for a committed individual with the following attributes:o Registered Adult Nurseo Extensive previous experience in respiratory care.o Evidence of post registration training in respiratory careo A desire to learn and develop clinical skills and knowledge across all aspects of respiratory diseaseo Excellent standards of care and a positive attitude to managing change and developing services.o Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with patient's carers and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
