Join our team as a Rent Accountant and help us make a difference!

We are currently looking for a Rent Accountant to join our team to accurately provide accounting information and rent budget setting for Platform Housing Group

This is a varied role where you manage the day-to-day operation of the Rent Accounting team and ensure all team members are supported, developed, and coached to provide the best possible service. Additionally, you will ensure property information is accurately recorded to report rent performance and support in the completion of external regulatory returns relating to rent and property stock.

Drawing on your talent for building strong relationships, you'll collaborate with various teams, including Business Partnering, Service Charges, Finance Investments, as well as  departments across our Development and Operations function.

Some of the things we are looking for:  

  • Knowledge and extensive experience of rent accounting in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Experience of budget setting, analysis, review, and forecasting
  • Experience of reconciling and reviewing control accounts
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Have excellent ICT skills (for example cloud technologies, Excel, and Word)

While this role is home based, you should have the ability to occasionally travel to Group offices and other locations as required. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park, Worcester.
