Supplier Quality Lead

About the role

This role shall be responsible for leading the development, management and control of IQE Suppliers working alongside the Global Supply Chain Team to execute the IQE Quality and Supply Chain strategies within the IQE Group. IQE are a the leading Global supplier of advanced wafer products and material solutions in the semiconductor industry. 

Primary responsibilities include developing the supplier audit and monitoring process within the IQE Group that enable IQE to grow as a business efficiently.  Control, manage and progress to closure supplier engagement associated with product concerns, delivery issues, technical constraints and product change requests.

 

Some of the Key Responsibilities include:

  • Interface with BU, Operational and Supply Chain teams to prioritise supplier development
  • Drive robust and swift problem resolution within the IQE supply chain, coordinating with Technical SME’s within IQE
  • Carry out new supplier validation audits, with support from GSM and local SME
  • Assist supplier selection through robust qualification processes
  • Support the assessment new and existing supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality, capacity and fulfilment
  • Drive improvements utilising Lean methodologies, supplier scorecards and supplier audit, ensuring supplier compliance, whilst driving systematic problem solving and process improvement plans to deliver value
  • Track the supply chain performance indicators, and continue to develop and effective Global Score Card including items such as yield, defect rate, supplier quality plan, engagement effectiveness, and corrective & preventative action closure
  • Work closely with Global Supply Chain team to support the implementation and tracking of Supplier change management, New Product Introductions, and production transfers

 

 

About you

  • Degree qualified in a technical or scientific discipline or significant experience in a highly technical manufacturing environment
  • Lead auditor to ISO9001 and preferably ISO14001 and IATF
  • Audit experience of VDA preferred
  • Proven and experienced problem solver and Team coordinator in a technology / complex manufacturing environment
  • Proven working knowledge of core quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC
