Senior Biomedical Scientist - Histology Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital | Pathology | Bank Contract | Part time Up to £25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Main duties of the job

Our highly motivated and talented Pathology team will appreciate your 'can do' attitude as you deliver quality pathology services and take a share of covering an on-call service out of hours. You'll enjoy a varied range of responsibilities - from performing biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control and keeping records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables. What's more, you'll help us to validate and assess new equipment and develop new diagnostic procedures, as part of our ongoing quest to deliver the very best experience possible for patients.

This year, we embarked on phase three of our multi-million pound refurbishment, adding state of the art equipment like our Mako robotic arm for orthopaedic surgery and a new ambulatory theatre. We have a special focus in the areas of orthopaedics, spinal surgery, ophthalmology, weight loss surgery and cosmetic treatment.
