Job summary
An exciting (26 hours per week) opportunity
has arisen to work within the multidisciplinary team in the friendly, patient-focused General Surgery Directorate.
You will be an integral part of the Team working alongside the Patient
Pathway Co-ordinators you will work closely with the Secretaries and Clinicians
to ensure timely treatment for our patients.
You must have
excellent communication and organisational skills as well as the ability to
work in a focused manner to meet tight deadlines. You must
be able to prioritise and manage a busy workload and be committed to delivering
the best care and service to patients.
Main duties of the job
The main duties
of the role will be to support the patient pathway co-ordinator in booking of Theatre lists and validation of waiting lists and information on the IT system.
You will be required to have IT skills, sound knowledge of Microsoft
Word & Excel and be educated to
GCSE level together with holding an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.
A knowledge of medical terminology or
medical administration is desirable, however training will be given.
The Post is a weekday Post with standard day-time working hours.
