For this position, you will undergo a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Horticulture and Landscapes spanning 24 months. As a Grounds Maintenance Apprentice, your responsibilities will entail maintaining the pristine appearance of our clients' sites, encompassing various tasks such as utilizing mowers, strimmer's, leaf blowers, hedge cutters, and other necessary tools. Additionally, you'll be tasked with weed control through precise chemical treatment (once qualified), executing our winter services like gritting and snow clearance, and meticulously documenting your activities via our scheduling and reporting app. It's imperative to leave work areas in a well-maintained, orderly fashion while adhering strictly to health and safety protocols. Moreover, you'll delve into sustainable working practices, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Your role will also involve furnishing management with pertinent information and promptly reporting any site-related issues, all while collaborating effectively within a team dynamic.

In terms of desired qualifications and traits, we seek individuals who harbor a genuine interest and zeal for their chosen apprenticeship pathway. Problem-solving aptitude and a penchant for hands-on, practical experience are highly valued, as is a steadfast commitment to learning and completing studies within your designated pathway. While prior experience with mechanical equipment and hand tools is not obligatory, a willingness to engage with them is essential, with comprehensive training provided. Furthermore, candidates should possess Mathematics and English proficiency ranging from Level 4 to 9 or the equivalent, including Scottish National 5 certificates graded A to C, and be prepared to furnish these certificates during the interview process.
