About Us: My client is a dynamic and rapidly expanding company in the construction industry, specialising in Rail, Building Maintenance and Highway projects. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team and contribute to their success.

Role Overview: We value individuals with a keen understanding of finances and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires someone with at least 5 years of relevant experience, who can confidently navigate forecasting and financial management, ensuring the success of their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise your expertise to forecast project costs accurately, demonstrating a strong grasp of financial concepts.
  • Take initiative in understanding project requirements, and actively engage with site teams to build rapport and gather essential information.
  • Adhere to established processes while proactively identifying areas for improvement and streamlining procedures.
  • Manage multiple projects, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate closely with the project management team, contributing your insights and expertise to ensure project success.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying
  • Strong understanding of financial management and forecasting, with the ability to effectively communicate financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in family-run companies or similar environments preferred.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, ask insightful questions
  • Willingness to learn and adapt, with a proactive approach to acquiring new skills and knowledge.
