With a strong commitment to excellence and a rich history of successful project delivery, are currently seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor.
Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our major NEC railway infrastructure project valued at £1 billion. This project is a key component of the nation's railway network, and your expertise will be crucial in ensuring its efficient and cost-effective delivery.
Main Responsibilities:

Management and Issuing of Notices and Correspondence:
- Inputting to the efficient and effective management and issuing of accurate, timely, and compliant notices and correspondence related to project requirements.

Preparation and Assessment:
- Preparation or assessment of applications, valuations, cost/value reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Cost Control and Forecasting:
- Implement cost control measures and forecasting techniques to monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Prepare and provide input to monthly reports including value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow, and budget.

Contract Management:
- Manage all aspects of contracts, including relevant contractual forms, methods of budgetary control, and utilisation of relevant software applications.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.

Risk and Value Management:
- Assist with Risk and Value Management to optimise project solutions.
- Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks, collaborating with the project team.

Supply Chain Management:
- Prepare supply chain enquiries, negotiate, administer, and finalise/close out supply chain contracts in accordance with project requirements.

Payment Processing:
- Preparation and agreement of applications for payment or assessment and preparation of payment certificates.
- Ensure all notifications/documents are managed in accordance with the contract and company policy.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree Qualified
- Proven experience as Quantity Surveyor on large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the railway sector.
- In-depth knowledge of NEC contracts and their application.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
