We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Tech/Pharmacy Manager at HMP Isle of Wight  to join our team . HMP Isle of Wights present role is a category B male training prison. Located on a small island, HMP Isle of Wight is located 8 minutes from St Marys Hospital and  26 minutes away from Cowes Ferry Terminal.

Currently our core hours of operation in  Pharmacy operates between 07:30 17:30  

This position is full time 37.5 hours  a week and youll receive an annual salary up to 42, 000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

At Practice Plus Group our pharmacy teams ensure medicines optimisation is embedded into everyday practice. You'll be responsible for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service. Working closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations.

The role involves providing daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.

You will lead a team of support staff and work closely with a range of clinicians and non-clinicians from Primary Care, Mental Health, and other health partners in ensuring effective delivery of pharmacy services.

You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist- BSc or Masters Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have a real passion for developing your Pharmaceutical skills and those of your team.

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
