Job Purpose To carry out training and assessment for learners to include the following tasks:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To develop the skills of students within the area of Agriculture and provide a high standard of technical support particularly in Livestock husbandry Machinery and Estate maintenance tasks. 

To administer and oversee skills training which supports the efficient and effective running and development of all aspects of the curriculum including comprehensive preparation of equipment and learning areas, instructing and demonstrating and supervising students working in the practical skills area.

To maintain resources and prepare and set up physical materials and equipment for horticultural related activities.  To carry out any such maintenance on all tools and workshop equipment.

To order workshop equipment and materials in conjunction with the team.

To maintain the unit and equipment to current Health and Safety standards.

To attend team meetings, open events, college tasters and outside events as required.

To ensure all students are aware of the Health and Safety guidelines in the unit.

ANNUAL LEAVE The College offers a generous annual leave entitlement to support staff, commencing with 25 days rising to 28 days after 5 years’ service, pro rata per annum plus 8 statutory days (Public & bank Holidays) and College closure days (all pro rata for part time posts)
