To provide a high quality of care and support for people with mental illness, learning disabilities, autism and/or behaviours that may challenge; to maximise the recovery and skills potential of each individual living in their own homes/support services within the community for whom Focus Care Agency provides a service; to achieve the highest possible standards of care and support in a professional manner.

  1. Support and- Advocacy: Provide support, advocacy, and- information to the individuals we support.

  2. Emotional and- Practical Support: Offer emotional and- practical support to service users.

  3. Personal Care: Assist service users with personal care needs sensitively and- to a high standard, including personal hygiene, laundry, financial planning, and- meal preparation.

  4. Medication Support: Support service users with taking prescribed medicine, adhering to policies on storage, administering, and- record-keeping.

  5. Independence and- Training: Enable service users to achieve independence through information, opportunity, training, counseling, and- support.

  6. Choice and- Support Needs: Encourage service users to identify and- choose their support needs.

  7. Care Plans: Develop, implement, and- review care plans in consultation with service users and- their representatives.

  8. Home Environment: Maintain a safe and- supportive home by:

    • Encouraging service user involvement in home management.
    • Participating in rotas, including evenings, weekends, and- sleeping-in duties.
    • Conducting health and- safety assessments and- reporting maintenance needs.
    • Providing First Aid, if trained.
  9. Community Engagement: Assist individuals in becoming valued community members by:

    • Organizing social and- leisure activities.
    • Introducing service users to local and- community amenities.
  10. Rights Protection: Ensure the protection and- respect of service users` rights, including privacy, choice, and- property.

  11. Professional Liaison: Maintain contact and- liaise with healthcare professionals and- service providers on behalf of service users.

  12. Record Keeping and- Administration: Keep records and- assist with administrative tasks, following the company`s financial procedures.

  13. Training and- Development: Participate in training, supervision, and- appraisal processes to enhance knowledge and- performance.

  14. Policy Adherence: Work within and- promote the company`s policies and- procedures, maintaining confidentiality and- promoting equality.

  15. Teamwork: Be an active and- supportive team member, covering for- colleagues as needed and- sharing knowledge and- experiences.

  16. Additional Duties: Undertake any other duties as directed by the Team Leader/Regional Manager to ensure smooth business operations.
