Job Title: Learning support assistant

Job Type: Temporary

Key responsibilities 

• To provide support for individual learners both in classes and on a 1:1 or small group basis, for example in the LRC during term time and during the holiday period. During term time this may include lunch time and / or evening working.
• To provide support for the development of learners’ vocational, English and maths skills as appropriate.
• To identify the needs of learners for example through in-class observations or assessment.
• To work with the relevant teaching staff to set learner targets that are reviewed periodically and to update/amend targets as and when appropriate.
• To monitor and follow up learner attendance

Skills & experience 

• Experience of working in a similar setting and role
• Experience with working within an educational environment providing academic or personal care support
• Experience with providing/willingness to provide personal care support to individuals with high needs (e. peg feeding, toileting, changing etc.)
• Available to interview immediately
• Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or on the update service
