We are looking for Bank Healthcare Assistants to deliver high quality care and to participate in giving the highest possible standard of palliative nursing care to patients and their families.
We provide ongoing support with professional development, Uniform is provided along with free parking. Please note, an enhanced DBS clearance will be required for this role.
You will be qualified to level 2 in NVQ Care and must have relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
Hours are to be arranged as and when required.
Main duties of the job
The Role of the Health Care Assistant (Bank)
All Bank Health Care Assistants are required to:
- Report to the nurse in charge of the shift and introduce themselves
- Receive a report on the patients current condition and care requirements
- Work with a contracted member of staff
- Work as directed by the Nurse in Charge of the shift
- Report to the nurse in charge any relevant observations regarding patients and relatives care
- Participate in giving the highest possible standard of palliative nursing care to patients and families
- Be fully conversant with all Katharine House Hospice policies and procedures
- Complete mandatory training yearly
Bank Health Care Assistants are encouraged to participate in the In House education initiatives at Katharine House Hospice.
