Job summary

Our team in Cornwall is recruiting for a Residential Practitioner, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. If you are a BABCP registered Practitioner or HCPC registered Social Worker then we'd love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

With You at Chy offers residential places for adults who have just done a detox. Our programme runs for 12 weeks. We offer one-to-one and group support, life skills workshops and training and education opportunities. Expert help is on hand 24 hours a day.

Job responsibilities

What we're looking for You will be a compassionate and inspiring Residential Practitioner who has demonstrable experience of working in a residential health and social care setting and supporting substance misuse service users. We are looking for someone with the ability to connect quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively. It is important that you have sound knowledge and understanding of assessments, care planning, issues affecting substance users and motivational interviewing, to name a few. Please note a full driving licence and use of a car is essential for this post. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and staff.
