Job summary

Are you a registered Pharmacy Technicianlooking for a new and challenging opportunity? Join our committed Medicines Optimisation Teamwithin Manx Care where you willprovide technical support on pharmaceutical matters and those pertaining to medicines medicines optimisationto a range of specialist areas, including (but not limited to)GP Surgeries, the IOM Prison staff and clients,Care Homes staff and residents and patients accessing specialist services e.g. mental health.

Main duties of the job

You will lead on medicines optimisation for the Isle of Man Prison, and with the support of other members of team, will work alongside prison healthcare staff, the visiting prescribing clinicians and the DHA prison staff to improve the provision of medicines to the prison population. There will be a strong focus on improving the safe and efficient management of medicines and the adherence to local prescribing policies.
