Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974

Liberty has an exciting opportunity for a Gas Engineer to join our team, based in Portsmouth and surrounding areas.  Providing a comprehensive gas service to domestic properties, which can include:

Installation work - Full boiler and system installations, Boilers swaps, Cylinder swaps and upgrades, radiators upgrades with pipework installations.

Breakdown work – Good Fault-finding ability with boilers knowledge of all different types of system and fault-finding ability with the electrical controls.

Servicing – able to carry out boiler and Gas fire service, able to identify any reportable issues, smoke and CO alarm checks will also be required.

You will be working on a full-time permanent basis, working 40 hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £32,328-£36,500 Basic (depending on experience) plus the opportunity to earn £45k+ (OTE) with Company Van, Fuel Card Plus Excellent Benefits.

Responsibilities of the Gas Engineer will include: 

Undertake the servicing, repairing, maintenance & Installations of Domestic heating systems
Complete works in accordance with specification and gas safe regulations
Completion of all relevant paperwork                 
Ensure customer satisfaction and safety 
Participate in out of hour's works, including overtime and call out
Work to operational procedures, safe working practices and H&S procedures
Reporting of all accidents, near miss events or potential hazards
Undertake all other maintenance works within remit
Work flexibly with a diverse range of customers                              

What we are looking for in our ideal Gas Engineer:

Recognised formal training attaining the relevant craft qualification, NVQ Level 2/3
or equivalent
ACS Qualifications CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT
UNVENTED qualifications are desirable but not essential
Understanding of gas legislation
Full driving license
Understanding of Health and Safety and working to best practice
Ability to manage own time and workload
Experience of working with the public, demonstrating excellent customer service
