Manpower is recruiting Kitchen Assistants on behalf of our public sector client.

Location: Bridgend

Job type: Temporary, duration ongoing

Hours: Full flexibility is required, you will be required to work any day of the week including bank holidays as per the rota.  The shift is 4 pm - 8 pm.

Hourly rate
£11.45 Weekdays
£16.14 Saturdays and nights
£20.95 Sundays and Bank Holidays

The role
As a Kitchen Assistant / Pot Wash you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.

Responsibilities:

• Wash pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment by hand or using industrial dishwashers.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including washing floors, wiping down surfaces, and emptying bins.
• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Physical stamina and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hot environment, you will be on your feet for the duration of your shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (Manpower can support with this.
• Completion of training modules prior to starting
• Standard DBS check, Manpower covers the cost of this
