Job summary

This is a brand-new role that combines clinical care with operational management within our ambulatory services. Responsibilities include overseeing the operational delivery of the Minor Injury & Illness Units Manx Emergency Doctors Service and the Ambulatory Assessment & Treatment Unit.

Main duties of the job

The Ambulatory Assessment and Treatment Unit is a new service, with phase 1 due to be launched in April 2024. This is an exciting time for service development and as the first person to step into this position, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery on the Isle of Man. While primarily scheduled for weekday shifts, you'll hold responsibility for service provision during out-of-hours periods, with no requirement for night shifts.

As the Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner (LACP), you'll step into a brand new role that will be essential in shaping and managing our Noble’s and Ramsey Minor Injuries and Illness Units, Manx Emergency Doctor Service, and the newly launched Ambulatory Assessment and Treatment Unit.

Your commitment will drive the operational success of these services, ensuring patients receive excellent care while steering clear of unnecessary hospital admissions. Take charge of the day-to-day operations, lead a talented team, and spearhead innovative service development.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
