MEP Package Manager - projects are based in Elstree/ Twinstead Green/ North London. 

 

Would you like to join one of the UK's Best Big Companies as awarded by Best Companies? Murphy are currently recruiting for a MEP Package Manager to join our Technical Services team, Must have exposure working on National Grid..Our team is known for its extensive in-house expertise and continual drive to innovate within the industry. The MEP Package Manager will lead on our projects and will  vary in size, ensuring that the scope of works is delivered in a safe manner, on time, to the required quality standards, meeting the acceptance criteria and achieving the expected financial outcomes. There will be travel and work on project across Elstree/ Twinstead Green/ North London.

 

The ideal candidate would lead the delivery of Building Services packages on National Grid projects and provide professional Project Management services to the client. Prior experience on National Grid projects is essential, along with prior experience on similar large Building Services projects in the Energy sector.  

 

What you will be doing

  • Manage and oversee a variety of different projects which include Mechanical, Electrical  works from preconstruction through to final handover.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors and team members to ensure project success.
  • Managing the procurement and tender process
  • Reviewing and agreeing contractor proposals
  • Ensures that the construction and installation teams are accountable for their performance against approved schedules and man-hour budgets (Planned vs Actual measures).
  • Ensure that the project team works to progressively complete handover documentation so that we are “fit to finish”, complying with the contracted completion requirements of the Client.
  • Organising the team pre, during and post construction on site, stakeholder and risk management.
  • Lead on budget and change management.

 

Who are we looking for

  • Previous experience working in a similar Project Manager environment. 
  • Experience working with National Grid.
  • Experience working on complex construction projects, preferably in the Energy sector
  • NEC Contract knowledge
  • Experience leading teams.
  • The Role would be site based and up and coming projects are based in Elstree/ Twinstead Green/ North London.
