Job summary

Main duties of the job

As part of this role, you will work as an Autonomous Practitioner as part of the wider Podiatry and multidisciplinary service, following evidence-based practice, providing assessment, diagnosisand secondary referral, and utilising expertise acquired through in-depth experience and post-registration training.You will be part of a highly motivated team, ensuring the provision of Integrated Care across the Island. If you have strong clinical and professional skills, this could be the perfect role for you. Youll work within a small team of Podiatrists, Podiatry Assistants and Administrative staff, who value support and continuing professional development.

Be promoted to Band 6 within 2 years. The Band 5 Annex T posts are development posts where you will undergo a period of preceptorship with the aim of gaining the competencies required to fulfil a Band 6 position. During this period you will be assessed and if you meet the competencies there will be an increase in your salary as you progress up to Band 6.

A generous annual leave entitlement starting at 27 days and 10 public holidays.

Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, the IOM Public Service offers two pension arrangements; the Isle of Man Government Unified Scheme 2011 or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) Arrangement.

Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month. This role also qualifies for a recruitment incentive of £3,000, payable in the 1st, 13th, and 25th months of employment.
