As a major visual communications group, we specialise in the design, print and fulfilment of promotional marketing materials. Our aim is to innovate, progress and evolve our clients’ marketing campaigns to give stand-out in a crowded market.

Role Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join an exciting and developing visual communications group as a Financial Accountant, working as part of our friendly Finance team. The role is hybrid with 3 days office/2 days WFH.

This role would suit a first mover from practice, wanting to gain broad experience in their first industry role. Whilst the primary responsibility of the position is to deliver accurate month-end and year-end accounts in a timely fashion, we in Delta Finance pride ourselves on being highly meritocratic and providing an environment where careers can flourish long-term. To that end, we provide training (both on the job and through courses) and opportunities to work in other areas in Finance (such as FP&A and Finance Business Partnering). Your ceiling ultimately will be dependent on your skills and mind-set!

Essential skills and experience:

  • Qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • High level of Excel proficiency (Xlookups, pivot tables)
  • Positive, friendly attitude

Highly Desirable

  • Prior experience in Audit

What you will be doing:

  • Month-end accounts:
    • Working out values of accruals and prepayments
    • Posting journals
    • Consolidating month-end pack
    • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Year-end accounts:
    • Liasing with Auditors: sending deliverables, answering queries, etc.
    • Assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts
  • Liasing with:
    • External parties (Bank, Auditors, Tax specialists)
    • Production Controllers & Account Managers (providing information etc)
  • Ad-hoc assistance with the wider team:
    • Assistance on treasury, purchase ledger, sales ledger and compliance matters (such as VAT) – this is from the view of developing broad set of skills and understanding for further career progression.
