Join us as an Aquaculture Sales Manager to spearhead the expansion of our satellite-enabled aquaculture solution, Connected Seafarm. Ideal for tech-savvy professionals with a strong aquaculture background, you'll drive revenue growth and nurture lasting client relationships.
We are seeking an Aquaculture Sales Manager to join our team and take the lead in driving the growth of our satellite-enabled aquaculture solution, Connected Seafarm.
This is a pivotal position within our growth team is ideal for an individual with technical expertise and who has a firm understanding of how technology can be used to enhance aquaculture practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aquaculture, demonstrating the ability to cultivate trusted relationships with both producers and aquaculture suppliers.
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Partnerships, you will be instrumental in expanding our market presence for aquaculture solutions, primarily in the UK/EU. You will collaborate closely with a pre-sales technical manager and sales development representative.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth: Achieve sales targets by proactively acquiring new customers and partners, consistently surpassing objectives within designated verticals, geographies, and channels.
Market Expertise: Be able to confidently demonstrate IoT and tech knowledge, tailoring solutions for customer needs. You will lean on your aquaculture background, building trust with producers and suppliers through your industry knowledge.
Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring sustained customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
Sales Pipeline Management: Create and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by consistently identifying and tracking leads, opportunities to close deals and deliver against targets..
Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular reports on lead generation, qualification, and conversion rates to the Head of Sales and Partnerships. Utilize data-driven insights to refine outreach strategies and improve lead generation tactics.
Market Insights: Work closely with product and engineering teams to share insights and knowledge to inform future product development and technology roadmap.

Requirements

- Demonstrated success in sales management roles, consistently surpassing targets.
- Exceptional communication skills, adept in both written and verbal interactions.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales targets and expanding market share.
- Experience of full sales cycle and comfortable negotiating contracts and commercials.
- Technical expertise and understanding of how technology can be applied to aquaculture practices to improve operations.
- Proven experience and background in the aquaculture industry.
- Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with aquaculture producers and suppliers.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey the benefits of Connected Seafarm solutions.
- Collaborative mindset with the capability to work closely with a pre-sales technical manager and sales development representative.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM (such as HubSpot).
- Knowledge of industry trends and the competitive landscape in aquaculture and adaptability to navigate a dynamic and evolving industry.
