Job summary
Overview of the Posto HMP Elmley is a Category B / C men's prison located in Isle ofSheppey, Kent.o HMP Swaleside is a Category B men's prison located in Isle ofSheppey, Kent.The post holder will work across the two prisons and other multi-disciplinaryprofessionals to develop and revise the therapeutic programme and activityplans as necessary to meet the needs of different offender groups.
Main duties of the job
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Provide one to one/ group interventions and therapeutic programmes in: Inpatient Department
? In-call activity as required.? Contribute to the development and delivery of holistic care plans.? Participate in the service wide health promotion, education programmeand activities.? Work to support pre-release and continuing care plans.? To manage a clinical caseload.? To support the development of evidence-based OT practice.? To contribute to service development.? To participate in research/audit activities.? To supervise the work of junior staff and students.? Contribute to and carry out risk assessment and management plans.? To provide specialist OT advice.? To work independently without direct supervision.
